Bowel Cancer Information

The Scottish Government recently launched a Detect Cancer Early Bowel Screening campaign in order to improve cancer survival rates by increasing the number of Scots diagnosed in the earliest stages of the disease. Bowel Cancer is Scotland's most common cancer with almost 4,000 people diagnosed every year. Bowel screening is the most effective way to find bowel cancer early when it is most treatable. Home testing prevents 150 deaths form bowel cancer every year.

We support this campaign and would encourage everyone between the ages of 50-74 to participate. You will be sent a bowel screening kit every 2 years by the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme. If you have lost your kit or would like a replacement then please contact them on 0800 0121 833
