Our practice participates in the advanced training of doctors for general practice. These doctors, known as GP Registrars, are fully qualified doctors and have experience of hospital posts for at least 2 years prior to joining us. They work with us for either 6 or 12 months and share all aspects of medical care in liaison with the GP Partners. Some of their consultations may be videoed for training purposes.

Our Reception team comprises Receptionists: Susan Clarke, Audrey Cafferty, Anne Somerville, Julie Letham, Julie Morrison, Gillian MacNair, Allison MacMillan, Carole & Ciara Gaffney Health Care Workers: Anne Somerville is also trained in Phlebotomy, Blood pressure monitoring, height, weight, urinalysis, B12 injections and Flu/Pneumococcal vaccination. Anne has recently completed her Healthcare Worker course at Cardonald College gaining her certificate and is now trained to assist the Pratice Nurses with simple wound dressings, childhood fluenz and stitch removal also. Mrs Shona Patterson (f)
Shona Patterson graduated from Aberdeen University in 1999 with BSc Biomedical Science and Strathclyde University in 2004 with MPharm. She has been a community pharmacist for 11 years with experience of a wide variety of minor illness in community pharmacy and advising on all manner of medicines. Having dispensed for a health centre with 10 GP practices. Shona has a special interest in cardiovascular conditions and became an independent prescriber in 2014 and has been consulting and prescribing for hypertension and cholesterol since then. Shona consults at the practice on a Thursday. Book now for BP, bloods and asthma reviews

Health Visitors
Our Health Visitors are qualified nurses who have special training to offer advice and health education to people of all ages. This includes child health and immunisation clinics.The health visitors are available on 451 0775. They have a wealth of experience in helping parents with the challenges of the under fives. |
