Our online appointment request forms open each weekday at 8:00am.
Both urgent and routine appointment requests will remain available until 12:00pm where possible. However, if all appointment slots for the day are filled, the forms may close earlier.
Urgent appointments (same day)
If your problem needs medical attention today, please complete the urgent appointment request form (‘Get help for any health problem’) when it opens at 8:00am.
Your request will be reviewed, and a member of the team will contact you the same day to arrange the most appropriate care.
If you need to speak to a member of the team immediately, please phone the emergency line on 0141 639 2753.
Routine appointments
If you feel that your problem can wait, please complete the routine appointment request form.
Routine appointments are usually available 2–3 weeks in advance, and we aim to respond to requests within one working day.
Appointment system
If you cannot use the online form you can call the practice on 0141 639 2753.
Our patient advisors will ask for:
- your contact details
- a brief description of the problem
This allows the clinical team to prioritise your request and direct you to the most appropriate clinician, which may be a GP, advanced nurse practitioner, nurse, or another healthcare professional.
If the online forms have closed but your problem cannot wait
We operate an urgent telephone line throughout the day until the practice closes at 6:00pm.
Please call 0141 639 2753 and let our team know that your problem cannot wait until the next working day.
How our appointment system works
In many cases you will first receive a telephone call from a GP or advanced nurse practitioner, who will assess your problem and arrange a face-to-face appointment if needed.
During periods of high demand, it may not always be possible to speak with the clinician of your choice, but we will always strive to arrange the most appropriate available appointment.
Advanced Nurse Practitioners
We have Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) employed with the practice; Sister Wilson, Sister Keenan, Sister Gaby Coia and Sister Fiona Henderson. All of them are highly qualified to deal with a range of problems such as:
- Coughs
- Temperature
- Sore throat
- Skin complaints
- Contraception
- Medication queries
- Asthma
- Stroke
- Chronic lung conditions
- Colds
- Earache
- Rash
- Allergies
- Back pain
- Sexual health
- Heart disease
- Asthma
- High Blood pressure
Our ANPs are able to prescribe and issue medication at the time of your call/appointment. If your symptoms do require a GP to see you the nurse practitioner will arrange this.
Advanced Practice Physiotherapist
As part of our Primary Care Improvement Plan (PCIP), we have an advanced practice physiotherapist working in the practice who has expertise in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. This includes soft tissue injuries, sprains, strains or sports injuries, arthritis, or problems with muscles, ligaments, tendons or bones (e.g. tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome).
The advanced practice physiotherapist (APP) can see patients over the age of 14 with MSK conditions as the first point of contact, instead of a GP and can be accessed directly by contacting the reception team or completing one of our online forms. During your consultation an APP can:
- assess you and diagnose what’s happening
- give expert advice on how best to manage your condition
- recommend exercises and other approaches to deal with the issue
- refer you on to a specialist service, if necessary.
Extended hours
We offer early morning surgeries opening from 7:30am on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings.
Our staff are here for pre-arranged appointments at this time. Please remember that before 8:30am if you phone the practice it will automatically divert to NHS24.
On occasions due to staff training, our phones will not divert until 9am. Please listen to the voicemail which will give you an alternative number should you have an emergency between 8:30am and 9am.
Text reminder service
We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.
Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.

Home visits
If possible, please try to phone reception on 0141 639 2753 before 10am if you require a home visit.
A doctor or nurse may phone to check if your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
House visits are available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
