Patients can require blood tests for a number of reasons, from initial diagnoses to the management of longer-term conditions. The most appropriate phlebotomy service to use can vary from patient to patient.
General phlebotomy
For general phlebotomy, we direct the majority of patients to the ‘Bloods & Go’ service, where patients can have their bloods taken in their own time with no appointment necessary.
This service is only available if you have been advised to arrange a blood test by a clinician, during an appointment or via SMS for example.
This service is based in Eastwood Health & Care Centre, Clarkston and is operated by East Renfrewshire Community Treatment and Care Services.
It is available to access Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 1pm; and 1:45pm to 4pm. Please note that the latest time patients can present to the service is 3:45pm to allow outstanding patients to be seen before the end of the day.
If you would struggle to attend Eastwood Health Centre and require an appointment at the surgery please contact the practice directly or arrange this using the online appointment request.
Pre-Chemo Phlebotomy
For patients requiring pre-chemo blood tests/phlebotomy, we schedule appointments with a member of our nursing team. Please call 0141 639 2753 to book, or use our online appointment request form.
